    ITG is looking for an analytical, driven quantitative developer to join our Financial Engineering team, working with a diverse and academically advanced team of researchers on developing and maintaining statistical models.

    • Understand functional specifications and work with the project team to provide technical solutions to meet the needs of the research team.
    • Understand legacy code and make the necessary enhancements and modifications as required.
    • Develop new and support existing code for financial analytic models using various programming languages.
    • Evaluate new financial data and technologies and incorporate them in QR environment.
    • Work closely with ITG’s entire quantitative research group to conduct formal quantitative analyses from the research question formulation to presentation of outcomes, typically including written summaries and/or business recommendations
    • Assist with in-depth development of models and processes


    • Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems or related disciplines
    • 2-4 years hands on experience in quantitative development in Unix/Linux environment in finance or related industry.
    • Working knowledge of Python.
    • Working knowledge of KX/q is a plus.
    • Understanding of and experience with financial market data (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, etc.).
    • Desire to learn and work with financial data.
    • Willingness and ability to understand analyze and interpret the data.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours to participate in model support.
