    ITG is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our Technology Support Service team.

    • Support desktops and laptops including installing, configuring and upgrading equipment and software within established guidelines.
    • Work in conjunction with the support staff to implement immediate resolutions to critical problems.
    • Participate in team meetings and gain understanding of customer business.
    • Provide end to end support for trading & corporate desktops, mobile devices
    • Install and maintain fixes and service pack releases for all desktops and applications (off hours and weekends).
    • Support Cisco VOIP systems & trading turrets.
    • Coordinate with operations personnel to identify areas of possible automation and/or improvement to provide better customer service, enhance problem resolution techniques.
    • Use monitoring tools, watch for and appropriately respond to problems and recommend preventive methods for recurring issues.
    • Track changes, support & related issues using ticketing system.
    • Maintain detailed documentation on all hardware installed in the office.
    • Other ad-hoc request assigned
    • Provide engineering solutions for tools such as Citrix, Windows 7, XenApps, Office 2010, SCCM and virtualization technologies like Citrix & VMware


    • 3+ years’ experience supporting a trading floor environment and experience in Capital Markets
    • 5+ years’ experience with Windows desktop and server OS on HP Blade and standalone server technology. Knowledge of building VMs on ESX
    • 3+ years’ experience with vendors (Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg,) and experience with trading application support.
    • Knowledge of messaging infrastructure is highly desired (MS Exchange 2010 or better, Microsoft OCS/Lync). Blackberry & Citrix MDM or container based setup.
    • General programming skills such as PowerShell and VB.
    • Good understanding of Microsoft Technology: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & SharePoint
    • Worked on targeted projects with defined milestones and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changes.
    • Excellent writing skills and ability to clearly explain topics at both novice and advanced levels for internal and external audiences.
    • Strong ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, excellent problem-solving skills, and analytical thinker.
