    ITG is looking for a Trade Desk Support Admin to join our Trade Desk team in our NYC Headquarters.


    You’ll be involved in supporting the company’s Trade Desk which would encompass PC hardware issues, trading application issues, and ensuring that these issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.  You will also be working in a cross–functional environment, in close cooperation with many diverse areas of the firm

    • Troubleshoot application issues that users on the trading desk might encompass. This would include in-house EMS software, Bloomberg, and MS products.
    • Coordinate with other team members to categorize, prioritize and resolve issues dealing with all levels of the equity order routing technology systems.
    • Maintain operation, monitoring and integrity of production systems to meet established standards.
    • Implement and manage software releases into Production in both Unix and Windows operating systems.
    • Interpret client requests and takes appropriate action to produce high levels of customer satisfaction that are balanced with business needs.
    • Troubleshoot PC hardware issues that users on the trading desk might encompass.
    • Participate in team meetings and gain understanding of customer business.
    • Create and run ad-hoc custom reports for trading desk and internal clients.
    • Participate in multi-group projects of varying sizes concerning new business initiatives, technological initiatives, system maintenance, and system upgrades.
    • Monitor and analyze system performance.
    • Determine methods to optimize the efficiency of systems.


    • Bachelor’s degree + 1-3 years of experience
    • Advanced knowledge of UNIX required
    • Exposure to SQL and Sybase
    • Basic shell scripting skills with Perl scripting a plus
    • System Performance Analysis
    • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a cross-functional environment including development, networking, operating systems, database, application servers and web serving
    • Demonstrated ability to handle cross-group short term and long term projects, seeing them to completion
    • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture while simultaneously defining detailed requirements in support of the business.
    • Demonstrated ability of successful implementation and support of highly scalable and highly available systems in an n-tier environment that may involve a global focus
    • Demonstrated ability to carry out a client setup, including setting up the initial workflow, as well as carrying out technical details
    • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and ability to follow through with open issues until resolved
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changes
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical and production-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
    • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
