    ITG is looking for an analytical and numerate Quantitative Support Developer to join our Financial Engineering team, working with a diverse and academically advanced team of researchers on developing and maintaining statistical models.

    • Participate in the development, testing, maintenance and support of various applications and data used by FE researchers, other ITG departments and external clients
    • Understand functional specifications and work with the project team to provide technical solutions to meet the needs of the research team
    • Understand legacy code and make the necessary enhancements and modifications as required
    • Develop new and support existing code for financial analytic models using various programming languages
    • Support maintenance of the data and processes related to the FE Data and Products as well as participate in rotational production support schedule
    • Evaluate new financial data and technologies and incorporate them in FE environment


    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline
    • 2-4 years of hands on experience in software development in UNIX/LINUX environment
    • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Shell/Python/Perl)
    • Working knowledge of databases (e.g. MSSQL, KDB)
    • Understanding of and experience with financial market data (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, etc.)
    • A desire to learn and work with financial data
    • Willingness and ability to understand, analyse and interpret data
    • Willingness to work flexible hours to participate in production support rotation


    • Exposure to different technologies, such as C++, Linux, low latency, kernel bypass, machine learning, cloud and high-performance storage
